Aeonium Medusa
Aeonium ‘Medusa’ is one of the most beautiful variegated Aeoniums that has ever existed. It’s believed to be a variegated form of Aeonium ‘Velour’. With rumours of a sport from Aeonium ‘Velour’ originating from Holland.
Aeonium ‘Medusa’ has since become one of the most talked-about and sought after varieties on the planet.
The variegation stays incredibly strong in the plant and holds excellent form as it grows. In the summer, the variegation is a hot red colour, and as winter approaches, the outer leave edges turn a creamy-white. It is just a beautiful and stunning combination, especially when this Aeonim reaches mature size.
Aeonium ‘Medusa’ grows very much Like Aeonium ‘Velour’ and will form layers of branches below a central rosette. To our knowledge, it doesn’t grow as big as this is probably due to the plant being variegation. It can grow up to 45cm in height, and 40cm spread with multiple layers of offsets.
